🔒 Our Privacy Commitment

PerDiem stores all your budget data locally on your device. We do not have access to your expenses, budgets, or financial information. Your spending data never leaves your phone.

Kickstart Crew LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PerDiem mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

All budget data you enter into PerDiem — including expense entries, category names, budget amounts, and notes — is stored exclusively on your device in a local database. We do not operate servers that receive or store your financial data.

  • Expenses & Budgets: Stored locally on your device. We cannot access this data.
  • Settings & Preferences: Stored locally on your device.
  • No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use PerDiem.

Important: Because your data is stored locally, if you delete the App or lose your device without a backup, your data may be unrecoverable. We cannot restore your data because we never possessed it.

2. Advertising

The free version of PerDiem displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain data to serve relevant ads, including:

  • Device identifiers (advertising ID)
  • General location (based on IP address, not precise GPS)
  • App usage data (e.g., which screens are viewed)
  • Device information (model, OS version)

This data is collected by Google, not by us. We do not have access to your individual ad data. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Remove Ads: You can purchase the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase to permanently disable all advertisements. Once purchased, no ad-related data collection occurs within the App.

3. In-App Purchases

PerDiem offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove ads. This transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and managed through RevenueCat, our purchase management provider.

  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Handle payment processing. We do not receive or store your payment information (credit card, etc.).
  • RevenueCat: Manages purchase verification and entitlement status. RevenuCat receives a pseudonymous app user ID to track purchase status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

To be clear, we do not collect:

  • Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
  • Your expense data, budget amounts, or financial information
  • Your location (we do not request location permissions)
  • Your contacts, photos, or any other device data
  • Analytics or usage tracking (we do not use Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar services)

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob: Ad serving (free version only). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat: In-app purchase management. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: App distribution and payment processing. Subject to their respective privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

PerDiem is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal data from any user, we also do not collect data from children.

7. Data Export

PerDiem allows you to export your expense data as a CSV file. This export is generated locally on your device and shared using your device's native share functionality. We do not receive a copy of your exported data.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect your email address, we encourage you to review this page periodically. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
